CAREGIVER & CHILD CLASSES

Spring Wednesdays in Sunset Park

April 19th - June 21st

10:30 am - noon

1.5 hour class for babies, toddlers and caregivers

$300

In these caregiver & child classes, we'll use all five senses to explore nature and practice child-led inquiry and play.

Babies will explore the big and small from their blankets or on all fours, following their interests and learning how to sustain attention.

Older toddlers will be gently introduced to group learning through independent exploration, social play and nature immersion.

Using songs, art, stories and environmental education, children will build resilience, focus, gross and fine motor skills, early literacy foundations and become more comfortable playing without a parent. We'll work with outdoor tools such as binoculars, magnifying glasses, buckets and tweezers to identify the animals, plants and birds that live in our park.

Caregivers will have time to socialize with each other while learning how to support the deep play and time in nature children need.
